The Big Fish Story: first cast of the day, my first ever walleye on the fly rod in total i caught over 200 white suckers i also caught over 50 walleyes between 12-20" dad got a beautiful 7lber toward the end, i tied on a swimbait, determined to beat my dad. and i fished it aggressively, eventually catching a long beauty at 6lbs dad was starting to brag, and i tossed the Gulp alive minnow a few more times. i said to myself that the next cast would be my final cast. i fished the swimbait extremely fast and aggressive along the bottom, and once the swimbait came into view, i noticed a large shadow following it, once it seen me, it quickly turned away. it was a MONSTER walleye! i tossed the swimbait back out 20 feet passed where the walleye turned away. after a few jerks my rod was almost yanked out of my hands! after a long fight, i landed yet another "fish of a lifetime" (but this is my 6th walleye of a lifetime!) at 34" and 12lb 14oz, she crushes my old personal best by over 2lbs!!!!!!! i chuckled as i released her. "dad, you shouldnt start bragging until we are done fishing, if you do, this will happen" he grumbled and cast a few more times before we left i emerge victorious yet again. with the first, the most, and the biggest fish.

thanks everyone! and budsbud66, but im sure Stanly wouldnt be making much money is their tape measures were off. lol and as for the weight, my scale doesnt lie. lol and it wasnt on the fly. the first walleye of the day was. but this one was on a 4" berkley GULP! alive minnow. (i consider it a swimbait)

Big walleye, but not 34' 13lbs! :) Never the less its a nice catch. A big walleye, and on a fly rod, thats gotta be crazy!
