Jim Longworth That sounds like a stunt that I'd pull! Hindsight is always much better than foresight. At least you were able to score on a very nice fish to help offset the frustration! Great pic, Tim!

koolwater That pike will kind of make up for 3 hours of shoveling, that had to suck. is that the same lake you got the nice one on last time??

gomwitdawind HEY TIM, MY BIGGEST PIKE OUT OF HERE IS A 45" LONG BEAST WITH A 22 1/2" GIRTH., THAT TIPPED THE SCALES AT 29 LBS. 2 OZS. I'VE PROBABLY HAD ANOTHER 3 - 4 ON THAT WERE BIGGER, BUT TO NO AVAIL THEY GOT AWAY! ( DOESN'T THE BIG ONE ALWAYS? LOL) HEY JACK I'VE NEVER HAD LUCK AT LOTTOS SO I'VE LEARNED THE SECRET OF BECOMING RICH " SPEND LESS THAN YOU EARN" LOL. HAS IT WORKED? WELL, LET'S JUST SAY IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS!
HUNCHES!

HUNCHES!

walleye90 What a monster! Keep showing me pictures like this and I'll be up on Tobin before you know it! So, I'm just curious, if this is only your second biggest pike, what is your biggest pike? That certainly was a hunch that worked out for ya. Great story.

February 13th Tiger

walleye90 I still can't fathom living in a place where a person can go out and catch nice fish while in the middle of cooking steaks! That is so cool! I have to set aside half a day to go fishing. You can fish everytime you have five minutes to spare. Awesome!
HUNCHES!

HUNCHES!

Jack Horowitz OMG!!! Not bad for a second place PB Pike, Oral. Good hunch you played very well. Now maybe you ought to play a hunch on some lotto numbers!! JH

koolwater Nice Jack, the fish are real fat here back at home too, they must think it's spring with the mild winter.
Frozen Eyes

Frozen Eyes

Jim Longworth Do ya fillet them with a hacksaw! Here on the coast, freezing them is the final step, not the first! LOL Nice pair of Walleye, Tim.

Not Too Bad for Illinois

Not Too Bad for Illinois

Jack Horowitz The private lake was Countryside Lake in Mundelein, Il. I had a friend who lived on it and allowed me to use his boat and fish it anytime I wanted. I wanted to get you out there very badly because it had Musky, Northern, LM Bass, Walleye and Crappie in unreal numbers and sizes. Until I moved to this lake in S.C., I had never caught LM Bass this large anywhere except at this incredible Illinois lake. My next guess would have been Bangs Lake because I have fished that also before. Loon is NOT a private lake at all.
February 10th Tiger

February 10th Tiger

Jack Horowitz This Bass was so unreal cooperative, it almost seemed like it refused to leave the structure no matter what. We passed over it numerous times and neither the boat nor any activity we tried, ever came close to spooking it. If I didn't know for sure, I would have thought this might be a spawner on this structure. It's many different reactions to the worm, would have made an amazing video for people to watch and learn from. I sure as Hell did!
